Following its debut during JIA Curated 2026 in Bali, the collaboration between Ahti Interiors and architectural designer Alexis Dornier is heading to Jakarta for Indonesia Design Week (IDW) 2026, bringing together architecture, craftsmanship, and contemporary bathroom design in a new setting.
The collaboration was first unveiled at JIA Curated in Sanur, Bali, in August 2026, where Ahti Interiors and Alexis Dornier presented The Loom of VIDAR—an architectural installation created to frame and celebrate the VIDAR Collection.
Inspired by Dornier’s distinctive design language and fascination with modular structures, The Loom of VIDAR explores the relationship between structure, material, and movement. The installation creates an immersive framework around VIDAR, allowing the collection’s sculptural qualities and craftsmanship to become part of a larger design narrative.
Now, The Loom and VIDAR are flying to Jakarta.
For Indonesia Design Week (IDW) 2026, Ahti Interiors and Alexis Dornier will bring the installation and collection from Bali to the capital, introducing the collaboration to a wider community of architects, interior designers, developers, and design enthusiasts.
At the centre of the presentation is VIDAR, Ahti’s distinctive collection defined by its interplay of hand-hammered control dials and precisely machined bodies. The collection reflects a balance between artisanal character and engineered precision—an approach shared by Ahti Interiors and Dornier.
The Jakarta presentation marks the next chapter of a collaboration that began in Bali, carrying its vision from The Loom of VIDAR at JIA Curated into one of Indonesia’s most prominent design platforms.
From Bali to Jakarta, The Loom of VIDAR continues its journey.
