This September, Ahti Interiors makes its way to Jakarta for Indonesia Design Week 2026, presenting VIDAR — the latest collaboration with architect Alexis Dornier — and opening its community to Jakarta.
There is something meaningful about bringing a collection from one place to another. It becomes more than a presentation; it becomes an opportunity to meet new people, exchange ideas, and discover how a design can live within a different context.
This September, Ahti Interiors arrives in Jakarta for Indonesia Design Week 2026, bringing VIDAR, the collaborative collection created with architectural designer Alexis Dornier.
From Bali to Jakarta
Rooted in Bali, Ahti has always been shaped by a dialogue between European design sensibility and the island's appreciation for material, craft, and ritual. VIDAR continues this conversation through a collection that brings together architectural precision and the human touch of craftsmanship.
Developed with Alexis Dornier, VIDAR explores contrast — machined forms alongside hand-hammered surfaces, precision alongside imperfection, and contemporary geometry alongside the tactile character of Balinese craft.
Now, the collection travels to Jakarta.
Indonesia Design Week 2026 marks an exciting next step for Ahti: an opportunity to introduce VIDAR to the city's design community and connect with architects, designers, creatives, industry professionals, and those who simply share a curiosity for thoughtful design.
Opening the Ahti Community
For Ahti, being part of IDW is not simply about presenting a new collection.
It is about creating a meeting point.
Jakarta is home to a dynamic design community — one that continues to shape the country's architectural, interiors, fashion, art, and creative landscape. Bringing VIDAR into this environment creates space for conversations that extend beyond the product itself: conversations around materials, craftsmanship, architecture, and the role of design in everyday rituals.
We see this as an invitation to step into the world of Ahti, meet the people behind the work, and experience VIDAR up close.
The Road Ahead
As we make our way towards Indonesia Design Week, there is much to look forward to.
From the first sketches and material explorations to the finished pieces, VIDAR represents a shared belief between Ahti and Alexis Dornier: that the objects we live with should have a sense of character, materiality, and purpose.
In Jakarta, that story continues.
VIDAR will be presented at Indonesia Design Week 2026, 18–27 September, at Indonesia Design District, PIK 2 — Townhall Area.
We look forward to welcoming our existing community, meeting new faces, and opening the Ahti world to Jakarta.
See you soon, Jakarta.
