The first week of Indonesia Design Week 2026 brought together architects, designers, media, and creative communities in a shared exploration of material, space, and craftsmanship. For Ahti Interiors, the occasion marked an opportunity to present the VIDAR Collection, developed in collaboration with architectural designer Alexis Dornier, and welcome industry voices into The Loom of VIDAR at Indonesia Design District, PIK 2. From the opening day through the first weekend, the pavilion offered a setting for design exchange, inviting visitors to experience the collection within a spatial narrative shaped by architectural thinking, materiality, and craftsmanship.
The Loom of VIDAR: Where Architecture Meets Craftsmanship
At the heart of Ahti Interiors’ participation is the VIDAR Collection, presented through The Loom of VIDAR, a pavilion that brings together architectural expression and material exploration. Created in collaboration with Alexis Dornier, the installation reflects a shared interest in the relationship between structure, material, and space. Inspired by the principles of weaving, The Loom offers a setting where design can be experienced beyond the individual object, creating a dialogue between the collection and its architectural surroundings.
Throughout the opening days of Indonesia Design Week, Ahti Interiors welcomed media representatives, design professionals, and industry voices to experience the pavilion and engage with the collection. These encounters provided opportunities to share the creative vision behind VIDAR while connecting with individuals working across architecture, interiors, and product design.

VIDAR Featured in the September Issue of Prestige Indonesia
Ahti Interiors is proud to see the VIDAR Collection featured in the September issue of Prestige Indonesia, extending the collection’s presence into the wider design and lifestyle conversation. Other than that, we had a visit from The Design Twins, in conversation on the intersection of architecture, craftsmanship, and design, alongside a design dialogue with product designer Alvin T. These conversations bring together perspectives from different areas of the creative industry, highlighting the relationship between architectural thinking, product design, and craftsmanship. They also reflect the importance of dialogue in shaping contemporary design and the ways in which creative disciplines continue to influence one another. For Ahti Interiors, the feature provides an opportunity to share VIDAR with a broader audience while celebrating the design voices contributing to Indonesia’s evolving creative landscape. 
Celebrating Our Partner, Modico
Alongside its participation in Indonesia Design Week, Ahti Interiors also joined the celebration of Modico’s showroom opening in Jakarta, at Indonesia Design District (IDD). As a valued partner, Modico is part of Ahti Interiors’ wider network within the design and interiors community. The occasion provided an opportunity to celebrate this milestone, connect with industry professionals, and support the continued growth of Jakarta’s design landscape. Ahti Interiors is pleased to celebrate this new chapter with Modico and looks forward to continuing to build meaningful relationships and collaborations within the industry.
Looking Ahead: The Loom of VIDAR Continues
With the first week of Indonesia Design Week complete, The Loom of VIDAR remains on display at the Townhall area of Indonesia Design District until 27 September 2026. The remaining exhibition days offer further opportunities for architects, interior designers, media, and design enthusiasts to experience the collection and engage with the creative thinking behind its development. At the intersection of architecture, materiality, and craftsmanship, Ahti Interiors invites visitors to discover VIDAR and experience the evolving dialogue between design and space.
