The Loom of VIDAR in Retrospect 
For five days at JIA Curated 2026, The Loom of VIDAR offered a different way to experience water, architecture, and material. Created by Ahti Interiors in collaboration with architectural designer Alexis Dornier, the pavilion brought the VIDAR collection into a spatial setting shaped by rhythm, structure, craft, and light. Set against the landscape of Pengembak Beach, the installation became more than a display of bathroom fixtures — it became an environment to be experienced.
The pavilion’s woven bamboo framework and textured surfaces echoed the collection’s own language: architectural in form, tactile in character, and rooted in the relationship between material and human touch.

Within the pavilion, VIDAR was experienced at an intimate scale. Its sculptural tapware, considered finishes, and distinctive details invited visitors to look closer — revealing how an everyday water object can carry the same sense of geometry and intention found in architecture.

Complementing the architectural language of The Loom of VIDAR, a selection of artworks by Maverick Lee Studio added another layer of material and visual expression to the pavilion. Their presence brought a more tactile and contemplative quality to the installation, reinforcing the pavilion’s broader exploration of materiality, human touch, and the relationship between crafted objects and their surroundings.

Utama Spice added a sensory dimension to The Loom of VIDAR with an interactive scent-making experience, inviting guests to explore natural botanical notes and create their own blends. The experience offered a hands-on expression of Balinese craftsmanship and ritual, while their Limescale Remover quickly became a crowd favourite, proving that even the most practical elements of bathroom care can spark curiosity and conversation.
An Intimate Evening: The Private Launch of VIDAR

On 15 August, Ahti Interiors hosted an intimate private launch of the VIDAR collection at The Loom of VIDAR, bringing together the people behind the collection, close collaborators, designers, and friends of the brand. The evening offered a more personal setting to experience VIDAR, with conversations unfolding around its design, craftsmanship, and the collaboration with Alexis Dornier.

For the occasion, guests were treated to thoughtfully prepared light bites by Home by Chef Wayan, creating a warm and convivial atmosphere within the pavilion. Shared over good food and conversation, the evening reflected the spirit of VIDAR.
With everyone involved in bringing the collection and pavilion to life gathered in one place, the private launch became a meaningful moment to celebrate not only VIDAR, but the collaboration and community behind it.
